The team here at Pure Ind has worked with Roman since 2010. We’ve had the opportunity to strategize around many aspects of his brand. From karts to professional driver, we’ve been there as his trusted partner. Working with a client for extended periods allows our team to adapt the brand and strategy to their current while maintaining sight on future goals. Our client retention is high because we’re always striving to push the envelope and work on the leading edge of the industry. We have seen Roman go from the podium of the kart tracks to a race champion in different car categories. Throughout it all, we’ve ensured that his brand, website, marketing collateral, marketing packages, and social media have all supported not only his career goals but also the goals of his partners and sponsors. We don’t hate that we get to hang out with him at the track…perks of the job for a team of race fans of course!
Over the years, Roman has insisted on having a brand image that’s a reflection of himself. In past years, it showed off his youth and his vibrant personality. Now that he has matured as a driver, we had the opportunity to create a new brand image, with him a few years ago. This new primary brand logo, in lettermark style, features the lower case d for De Angelis with his first initial r comprising a portion of the d. The swept angular style give his brand the sense of refinement, class, precision, confidence, maturity, and of course speed. The gold, white and dark grey colour scheme reflect Roman’s pedigree as a champion and yet separate his brand from those of the teams he races with year after year.
The purpose of Roman’s website was to highlight his skill as a driver, his sponsors, his personal brand and passion for the sport. Ultimately it’s to provide a place for his fans and followers to keep up-to-date with everything he has going on throughout the racing season. With those needs in mind, we also needed to be able to update the website quickly during the season with his results and press releases. For quick news/update implementation, our team backed the site with an easy to use CMS. The final product; an easy to use site that’s visually stimulating, works on all devices, including mobile phones and is on-brand with the rest of Roman’s marketing collateral.
Over the years Roman and his race teams have commissioned us to design different types of apparel ranging from race suits for on track to trackside for crew and fans and lifestyle (everyday wear). We've been able to deliver for Roman year after year. With that being said this latest project for Roman had to be one of our favorites. To commemorate a historic 2019 season for Roman, we designed "The Roman De Angelis Collection". We printed sourced and managed the production of a select line of apparel items for him, his fans, partners and crew. Strategic pieces in the line highlighted his three Porsche GT3 Cup Championships.
In the world of racing, building relationships with partners is a full-time job for drivers and teams. We've been able to assist Roman and his team for a few seasons with their marketing decks. Each deck is unique as it represents Roman's history, his personal brand, his passion for racing and for his community, and his plans for the next season. We also work with stakeholders to include value propositions and provide ideas on potential programs that offer a return on investment for partners. As with all his collateral its all on brand providing a cohesive look and feel that reflects Roman and exudes professionalism to potential partners.
